Dr. Ron Somogyi, MD, MSc, FRCSC, graduated with honours from the medical school at the University of Toronto. Prior to attending medical school he received a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and a Master of Science, both from U of T. Following his graduation, he completed a five-year residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the same university where he received his previous education. He then furthered his expertise with two fellowships in Australia. One in reconstructive surgery at the Peter Macallum Cancer Institute and the other at the Melbourne Institute of Plastic Surgery in general cosmetic plastic surgery.
A member of the Canadian Medical Association and the Ontario Medical Association, Dr. Somogyi also contributes to various medical journals on the national and international level. He is the recipient of the University of Toronto Research Award in Plastic Surgery (2012) and the D.R. Wilson Teaching Award (2014, also from the University of Toronto’s Department of Surgery).
Dr. Somogyi maintains a private practice at Somogyi Plastic Surgery. He is also an active staff member of two Toronto area hospitals, Women’s College Hospital and North York General Hospital. His team specialize in breast augmentation, lift, reconstruction and reduction, and male breast reduction. Furthermore, Dr. Somogyi and his team perform thigh lifts, arm lifts and body lifts along with facial procedures such as rhinoplasty, facelifts, eyelid surgery and brow lifts. Besides the aforementioned surgical procedure, Dr. Somogyi’s clinic also has non-surgical procedures like medical grade facials, Botox, dermal fillers, laser resurfacing, Thermage (wrinkle reduction) and treatment for excessive sweating.
